Last updated: October 2026 · Dunkin’ last changed reward prices and point expiration on October 6, 2025. Point prices live in the app and can change at any time.

Quick answer
  • How Dunkin’ Rewards works: It is a free program where you earn 10 points per $1 on eligible purchases and trade points for free food and drinks, starting at 150 points.
  • Free coffee: A hot or iced coffee or tea reward costs 600 points in the current app catalog, so about $60 of spending at the base rate.
  • Boosted Status: Make 12 qualifying visits in one calendar month and you earn 12 points per $1 for the rest of that month and the next three months.
  • Birthday: Add your birthday to your account to get 3X points on purchases for one day (activate the day before, the day of, or the day after).
  • Expiration: Points expire 12 months after the last day of the month you earned them, even if you stay active. Rewards expire 30 days after you claim them.

Dunkin’ Rewards is the loyalty program in the Dunkin’ app. It replaced DD Perks on October 6, 2022, and got a big refresh on October 6, 2025. That refresh raised the price of coffee rewards, added a Bakery category, and made points expire on a fixed 12-month clock. This guide explains the current rules in plain English so you can get the most from every point.

How Dunkin’ Rewards works

You earn points when you buy Dunkin’ food and drinks at a participating store or through the app. Every $1 you spend on qualifying items gives you 10 points. Tax does not count, and discounts are taken off first. So a $6.50 order earns 65 points.

Once you have at least 150 points, you can turn points into a reward. Each reward category has its own point price. You pick a category in the app, and the points come off your balance right away.

You earn the same points whether you pay with cash, a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or an enrolled Dunkin’ gift card. The key is to scan your Rewards ID before you pay, or to order ahead in the app.

Some purchases never earn points. Dunkin’s terms list gift card purchases and reloads, reward redemptions, retail merchandise, Keurig brewers, newspapers, charity donations, Baskin-Robbins items at combo stores, and orders on third-party delivery apps. Dunkin’ says delivery orders currently do not earn points or allow reward redemptions.

Dunkin’ Rewards point prices (2026)

Dunkin’ publishes reward prices only in the app’s Reward Catalog. The official FAQ confirms rewards start at 150 points. The prices below match what Dunkin’ emailed members before the October 2025 refresh and what the catalog shows in 2026. Always check the app before you redeem, because Dunkin’ can change prices.

Reward category Example items Points
Li’l Treats 3-count Munchkins, hash browns, cold foam or add-ins 150
Donut One classic donut 300
Bakery Muffin or 10-count Munchkins 400
Bites & Bagels Wake-Up Wrap, bagel with cream cheese 500
Coffee & Tea Hot or iced coffee or tea, any size 600
Non-Coffee Drinks Refresher, hot chocolate, chai or matcha latte 800
Breakfast Sandwich Egg and cheese sandwich with your choice of meat and bread 900
Specialty & Frozen Espresso drinks, cold brew, frozen drinks 950

Best value tip: At 10 points per $1, a large regular coffee for 600 points is a better deal than a small one. Pick the biggest size and the add-ins you like, since the price in points stays the same within a category.

How to join and redeem rewards

  1. Download the Dunkin’ app or go to dunkindonuts.com and choose to join Dunkin’ Rewards.
  2. Enter your first and last name, email, mobile number, and a password.
  3. Add your birthday (month and day) in your profile so you get the birthday bonus.
  4. Scan your Rewards ID at the register before you pay, or order ahead in the app.
  5. When you have enough points, tap Choose Rewards and pick a category.
  6. In the store, scan the reward’s QR code at the register. For mobile orders, apply the reward to your cart before you check out.

You can use more than one reward at a time. Points you earn on an order can only be used on a later order, not the same one. Rewards can only be redeemed in the Dunkin’ app, not on the website.

Boosted Status explained

Boosted Status is the only higher level in Dunkin’ Rewards. There are no other named tiers. To get it, you need 12 qualifying visits in one calendar month. A qualifying visit must:

Once you qualify, you earn 12 points per $1 for the rest of that month and the next three calendar months. That is 20% more points. Every month you hit 12 visits again pushes the end date out. The visit counter resets on the first of each month.

Birthday reward and bonus offers

Dunkin’ no longer gives a free birthday drink. Instead, members who add their birthday get 3X points on purchases for one full day. You can turn it on the day before, the day of, or the day after your birthday. Plan a bigger order that day, like a box of donuts for work, to get the most out of it.

Dunkin’ also runs bonus point offers in the app, often tied to a drink or a day of the week. The terms say these offers are not guaranteed and may depend on your location or activity. Check the Offers section of the app often.

Dunkin’ does not list a standing sign-up bonus in its terms or FAQ. Some new members see a welcome offer in the app, but it is not promised. There is no public promo code for Dunkin’ Rewards, so be careful with sites that claim to have one.
