Our old BioLife article promised “$350 for donating”, a figure that is now years out of date. In 2026, BioLife Plasma Services pays new donors through promotions that change by city and by month, plus a referral program and a points-based loyalty program. This guide explains what the official BioLife pages say today, how to find the offer for your center, and what you need for your first donation.
BioLife new donor offers in 2026
BioLife says plainly that compensation “may vary” based on your donation history, your location and market conditions, and it recommends checking with the center nearest you. In practice, each center publishes its own new donor promotion. Here are examples taken from official BioLife pages:

Is there a BioLife coupon code?
Not a universal one. BioLife’s new donor “coupons” are local landing pages tied to a specific center or market. Each lists a payment schedule, an offer code for staff, a deadline for your first donation and the line “valid at select locations”. If you print or show a coupon from another city, your center may not honor it.
The coupon itself also has rules worth knowing: you must present it before your initial donation, it pays out only after successful donations, the follow-up donations must happen within 30 days, and it can’t be combined with another offer. Coupon sites that advertise “$1,200 BioLife codes” are usually mixing up old or regional promotions, so treat any big number you didn’t see on BioLife’s own site with caution.
How to get the BioLife new donor bonus
- Find your nearest center on biolifeplasma.com and open its page to see the current new donor promotion.
- Download the BioLife Plasma Services app and create an account. Offers appear under “My Promotions”, and you can book appointments in the app.
- Ask a friend for a referral if you know a BioLife donor, so they can qualify for the Buddy Bonus.
- Show the coupon or offer before your first donation if your center’s promotion uses one.
- Complete every donation in the window. New donor schedules usually spread the money over several visits, and BioLife does not pay for missed appointments.
My BioLife Rewards: how points work
My BioLife Rewards is BioLife’s free loyalty program. You join by accepting the terms in your account, and points are then added automatically. BioLife lists the activities that earn points:
- Your first plasma donation
- Donating seven times in one calendar month
- Donating three months in a row
- Your first referral
You choose when to redeem: as cash on your BioLife Debit Card, as gift cards, or as a charitable donation. BioLife’s public page doesn’t list point values per activity, so check the program terms in the app for the exact numbers.
BioLife Buddy Bonus (referral program)
The Buddy Bonus rewards you for bringing friends, family or coworkers to BioLife. In the app you can send an invite by text, email or social media. When your referral qualifies, the bonus is deposited onto your BioLife Debit Card. The amount is set locally: one recent official center page listed up to $50. A first referral also counts toward My BioLife Rewards points.
How BioLife pays: the BioLife Debit Card
At your first donation you receive a BioLife Debit Mastercard. After each successful donation, your payment is loaded onto it automatically, within 24 hours according to BioLife. There’s no credit check or approval process. You can check your balance for free in your online dashboard or by text, but BioLife warns that checking the balance at an ATM costs a fee. The card works anywhere Debit Mastercard is accepted.
BioLife donor requirements
According to BioLife, you can generally donate if you:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Weigh at least 110 lbs
- Are in good overall health
- Have no tattoos or piercings newer than four months
- Haven’t donated whole blood in the past 8 weeks (56 days)
What to bring to your first visit:
- An ID with your photo, signature and date of birth (such as a driver’s license or passport)
- Proof that you live within 40 miles of the center: an ID with your address, a signed lease, a utility bill, or USPS mail from the past two months
- A list of medications you’ve taken during the past year
Every first visit includes a medical screening. Medications, recent procedures and travel can affect eligibility, so answer the questions honestly.
How often can you donate at BioLife?
Following FDA rules, you can donate plasma twice in a 7-day period, but not more than once in a 2-day period. BioLife notes that as a first-time donor, it takes two donations before your plasma can be used, which is one reason new donor offers reward several visits.
Plan for about 2 hours on your first visit. After that, visits usually take 1 to 1.5 hours. To make donating easier, BioLife recommends a non-greasy, protein- and iron-rich meal within 3 hours of your appointment and plenty of water or electrolyte drinks the day or two before.
