- As of October 25, 2026, Best Buy has not published its 2026 Black Friday start date, doorbuster schedule or store hours. In 2025 the sale started on Thursday, November 20, a week before Black Friday.
- My Best Buy Plus ($29.99/year) and Total ($199.99/year) members get member-only prices and “special access to sales and events.”

It covers daily and weekly deals, Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2026, what happened in 2025, member-only deals, back-to-school, open-box, and the price match and return rules that protect you when a price drops after you buy. Anything Best Buy has not yet announced is clearly marked.

Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, 2026, which is why Best Buy’s pages point to Friday, November 27 for Black Friday and Monday, November 30 for Cyber Monday. Those are the event days. They do not tell you when the deals start.
Everyday sales: Deal of the Day and Top Deals
You do not have to wait for a holiday to find a Best Buy sale. Two pages run all year:
- Deal of the Day: one main deal plus several “Bonus Deals of the Day,” often from a single brand. On the day we checked, the headline read “today only” and each deal showed a “Sale expires in…” countdown. The page offers daily emails or texts. - Top Deals: the bigger hub, organized by category, with links to “Exclusive Member Deals” and “Outlet Deals.” Best Buy notes that “Product quantities are limited. Rainchecks are not available,” and that in-store pricing may vary.
Best Buy does not publish a fixed weekly sale day or rotation schedule on these pages.
Black Friday 2026 at Best Buy: what is confirmed
Here is everything Best Buy has published so far about its 2026 holiday sales, and what it has not:
- Confirmed: the Black Friday page on bestbuy.com is titled “Black Friday 2026 Deals” and says to mark November 27 for the Black Friday 2026 Sale.
- Confirmed: the Cyber Monday page says “Save the date for Cyber Monday 2026” and names November 30.
- Not published as of October 25, 2026: the date Black Friday deals start, any early-access window for members, doorbuster lists, store hours, Thanksgiving Day closure, and a holiday return or price guarantee. We found no 2026 holiday announcement in the Best Buy newsroom.
What Best Buy did in 2025 (for reference only)
Best Buy’s November 18, 2025 press release laid out last year’s schedule. It is useful for a sense of the pattern, but it is not a promise for 2026:
- Thursday, November 20, 2025: the Black Friday Sale and doorbusters began in stores, in the app and on BestBuy.com.
- November 21 and November 28 (Black Friday): more deals were added.
- Thanksgiving, November 27: stores were closed.
- November 29, 11:59 p.m. CT: doorbusters and the Black Friday Sale ended.
- November 30 to December 1: a “Cyber Sunday and Monday Sale” with savings of up to 50% ran, ending December 1 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
In 2025, My Best Buy Plus and Total members could also earn up to $25 in bonus rewards (five $5 certificates) on doorbuster purchases of at least $50 between November 20 and 29. Best Buy has not said whether a similar offer will return in 2026.
Member-only deals with My Best Buy
Best Buy’s membership page lists three tiers. The free tier gets you free standard shipping and order tracking, but member pricing needs a paid plan:

The membership page says “special access to sales and events.” It does not promise early access to Black Friday 2026. If you are thinking of joining just for the holidays, remember that member prices cannot be price matched elsewhere, and that the 60-day return window does not apply to Marketplace products.
Back-to-school and open-box: two other times to save
Back-to-school: Best Buy runs back-to-school deals on items from laptops to small appliances. Its corporate site says the deals change over the season and that Plus and Total members get exclusive savings during the school year. Best Buy has not published a fixed back-to-school date range, and the season is over for 2026. Students should also compare with the Apple student discount before buying a Mac or iPad.
Open-box: open-box items are on sale all year. Best Buy says Geek Squad grades them, and the price depends on the grade:
- Excellent: “works and looks like new,” with all original parts and accessories or a suitable replacement.
- Good: works like new and is restored to factory settings, but may have minor scratches or dents and missing non-essential parts.
- Fair: restored to factory settings, but may have larger dents or scratches and missing parts.
Best Buy says open-box returns follow the same policy as new items. Open-box, clearance and refurbished prices are excluded from price matching.
Price match and returns: protection if a price drops
The two policies that matter most around big sales:
- Best Buy’s own price drops: if Best Buy lowers its in-store, online or app price during your return and exchange period, it will match the lower price on request.
- Competitor prices: Best Buy matches listed “Qualified Competitors” on identical new items (same brand, model number and color), one match per item per customer.
- Holiday exclusion: competitor items for sale “the Thursday before Thanksgiving Day through the Monday after Thanksgiving,” and items denoted as Black Friday pricing, are not matched. On the 2026 calendar, that is November 19 through November 30.
- Return windows: 15 days for most products, or 60 days for Plus and Total members. Activatable devices such as phones have 14 days (30 days for Verizon activatable devices). The clock starts the day you receive the item.
Tips to get the best Best Buy price
- Buy when you need it, then watch the price. Best Buy’s own price-drop match makes buying early less risky.
- Know your window. A 15-day window may close before Black Friday; a Plus membership’s 60 days covers more of the season.
- Sign up for alerts. The Deal of the Day page offers daily emails or texts, and the Black Friday page has an email sign-up.
