Who qualifies for the Sephora birthday gift?
Every Beauty Insider member. Sephora’s Beauty Insider terms state: “All Beauty Insider members are eligible to redeem one Birthday Gift per year during the month of their birthday.” There is no spending requirement to unlock it, and you do not need VIB or Rouge status.
- Beauty Insider is free. You can sign up in a store, on sephora.com or in the Sephora app.
- Your birthday must be on your profile. The gift is tied to the birthday month saved in your Beauty Insider account, so add it well before your birthday month starts.
- U.S. and Canada. Sephora’s 2026 announcement covers Beauty Insiders in both countries, though the options can differ between them.
For reference, Sephora’s tiers are Insider (everyone at sign-up), VIB (spend $350 in a calendar year) and Rouge (spend $1,000 in a calendar year). Tier only changes which gift options you see, not whether you get one.
When can you redeem it?

For the second half of 2026, Sephora said new gifts would come from K18, Gisou and innisfree. Sephora has not published the exact second-half contents in its announcement, and the in-store selection rotates, so check the Birthday Gift page in the app for what is available in your month.
VIB and Rouge extra: VIB and Rouge members also get a rotating online-exclusive option. January to March birthdays got Jo Malone London colognes (Wood Sage & Sea Salt and English Pear & Sweet Pea). On October 26, 2026, Sephora’s birthday page was featuring an online-exclusive COLOR WOW gift set “just for VIB & Rouge,” available “before it’s gone.” These exclusives are online only, so the $25 minimum applies.
