Samsung says it can change program terms at any time without notice, so confirm the live price in your cart before you buy.
- Yes, Samsung has a military discount: it is called the Military Offer Program (part of the Samsung Offer Program) and Samsung says savings are “up to 30% off” on samsung.com. The exact discount varies by product.
- Who qualifies: active-duty members with a .mil email; active members, veterans and retirees can verify through ID.me. Samsung’s help center also points veterans to WeSalute, which covers Guard, Reserve and immediate family members.
- Purchase limit: 2 products per product category per email and/or shipping address (4 for home appliance accessories and mobile accessories).
- Order of savings: the program discount is applied after any trade-in credit and instant rebate.
- No public promo code: the pricing appears after you sign in to a verified Samsung Account. It is online only, not at retail stores.
If you are shopping for a new Galaxy phone, laptop, TV or appliance, a “Samsung military discount” search is worth the effort. Samsung runs a standing offer program for service members on samsung.com. It is not a seasonal coupon: once your Samsung Account is verified, eligible products show program pricing whenever you are signed in.
Below we explain what Samsung’s official pages say about eligibility, the ID.me, .mil, GovX and WeSalute verification routes, the per-category purchase limits, and the conflicting wording on stacking. We also cover the other real ways to cut the price, including trade-in credits and Samsung Rewards.

How the Samsung military discount works
Samsung’s Military Offer Program is part of a wider Samsung Offer Program that also covers students and educators, first responders, healthcare workers, government workers and employees of participating companies. The program page’s hero says “Mighty savings for Military personnel,” and Samsung’s FAQ says savings are “up to 30% off.”
The key thing to understand is that 30% is a ceiling, not a flat rate. Samsung says savings differ across product lines. The deals shown on the military page on November 7, 2026 were examples like an “extra 10% off” one TV, an “extra 25% off” a Galaxy Book5 Pro 360, an “extra 30% off” a Galaxy Book5 Pro and an “extra 15% off” Galaxy Buds. Those featured deals rotate, so check the product page while signed in to see your actual price.
Samsung also notes that the offer program discount “will be applied after any applicable trade-in and instant rebate discount.” In other words, trade-in credit and instant rebates come off first, then the program pricing applies to what is left.
Who qualifies for Samsung’s military discount?
Samsung’s military page lists two verification paths:
- Active-duty service members: “Active military members with valid email addresses ending in .mil are eligible.” Samsung’s help center says company emails such as .mil are approved automatically.
- Active members, veterans and retirees: can verify through Samsung’s partner ID.me by providing valid documentation. Samsung also lists the benefit providers GovX and WeSalute.
What about spouses and family? The main Samsung Offer Programs page describes the military offer as “savings for active military, veterans and their families,” but the military page’s own eligibility text does not mention family members. Samsung’s help article “Can I still get the Samsung Military Discount if I am a veteran?” says veterans should sign up through WeSalute. WeSalute eligibility covers active-duty members, retirees, veterans of any branch, current or former National Guard and Reserve, and immediate family members of people who have served or are serving. The same article warns that the Samsung Offer Program and WeSalute “may offer different discounts.”
How to get the Samsung military discount, step by step
- Create or sign in to a Samsung Account. Samsung requires you to be signed in at checkout to get program pricing.
- Open the Military Offer Program page on samsung.com and select the option to unlock your offers.
- Choose your verification route: sign in with your .mil email for instant approval, or verify with ID.me using a personal email and valid documentation.
- Veterans and family members: if ID.me doesn’t fit your situation, follow Samsung’s help-center advice and go through WeSalute (or GovX), which links to Samsung’s member store.
- Shop while signed in. Program prices show on eligible products. Add any trade-in before checkout, because the program discount applies after trade-in credit and instant rebates.
Samsung says it may ask for additional verification of eligibility, so keep your documents handy.
Purchase limits and fine print
The limits are the part most shoppers miss:
- Two products per product category, per email address and/or shipping address. The FAQ says “within any 12-month period,” while the terms and conditions say “within any Calendar year period,” so assume the stricter reading.
- Accessories exception: home appliance accessories and mobile accessories have a limit of 4 each.
- Over the limit: extra products in a category do not get program savings.
- Stacking is unclear: the FAQ says savings “can be combined with public and seasonal offers,” but the terms say prices “cannot be combined with any other offer.” Compare the program price with the public sale price in your cart before you pay.
- No sharing or price matching: Samsung says verified users who share program pricing with others, or ask retailers to match it, may be removed from the program.
- Online only: program prices are not available at retail stores or other online sites.
Other Samsung discount programs
| Program | Who it is for | How to verify (per Samsung) |
|---|---|---|
| Educators and Students | Teachers, students, administrators and other educators | .edu email, ID.me, StudentBeans or UNiDAYs |
| First Responders | Police, firefighters, paramedics and medical professionals | ID.me with valid documentation |
| Healthcare Workers | Doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers | ID.me |
| Government Workers | Federal, state and local government workers | .gov email, ID.me, GovX or WeSalute |
| Qualifying Employees | Employees of over 1,000 participating companies | Work email in Samsung’s eligibility checker, or Perks at Work, PerkSpot, BenefitHub |
Samsung advertises “up to 30%” for the Offer Program as a whole and does not publish a separate maximum for each group. The same purchase limits apply.
Other real ways to save at Samsung (no code needed)
- Trade-in credit: Samsung’s military page listed trade-in credits of up to $800 on the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Z Fold8 Ultra, up to $450 on the Galaxy S26+ and up to $400 on the Z Flip8 and S26 FE on November 7, 2026. You must send your old device within 15 days of receiving your purchase, there is one trade-in per qualifying purchase, and if Samsung finds the device ineligible it charges back the credit minus $25.
- Samsung Rewards (free): Samsung’s help center says you earn 1 point per dollar at Silver, 2 at Gold (after $500 spent) and 3 at Platinum (after $1,000), on the final price after discounts. Each point is worth $0.005, so 2,000 points equal $10 off. Points can’t be combined with Samsung Financing and expire 36 months after they are earned.
- Appliance bundles: Samsung’s Buy More, Save More appliance promotion runs October 1 to December 31, 2026 and gives an extra $100 off two qualifying products, rising to up to $1,000 off eight, with one redemption per household.
- Pay over time: Samsung lists Affirm plans at 0% to 36% APR, including a 0% APR Pay in 4 option, if you would rather spread the cost.
Tips before you buy
- Verify before a big sale. Approval is instant with a .mil email, but ID.me document checks can take longer.
- Plan around the 2-per-category limit. If you are buying for several family members, each verified person uses their own Samsung Account, email and shipping address.
- Compare two routes. Samsung says its own program and WeSalute may show different discounts, so check both if you qualify for both.
- Add the trade-in first. The program discount applies after trade-in and instant rebates.
- Ignore “Samsung military promo code” sites. Samsung applies program pricing to your verified account; it does not publish a public military code.
