Last updated: November 5, 2026 · On November 5, 2026 we checked Apple’s Veterans and Military Purchase Program store page, the Veterans and Military Purchase Program Terms and Conditions, the Apple Trade In page, the Apple Certified Refurbished page, Apple’s financing page and the Apple Education Store. Apple can change prices, eligible products or program terms at any time, so confirm the live details on apple.com before you buy.
- Yes. Apple runs a Veterans and Military Purchase Program, and its store page says a 10% discount is available to current and Veteran members of the U.S. Military, National Guard and Reserve. It’s an online storefront, not a code.
- Family can use it too: Apple says immediate family members who live in the same household are also eligible. Buyers must be at least 18.
- How to get it: verify your active or Veteran status with ID.me on the program page, then shop the special storefront. Regular Apple Store and Apple Online Store purchases don’t get this pricing.
- Yearly limits apply: for example 3 computers, 3 iPads, 3 unlocked iPhones and 10 Apple accessories per calendar year, under Apple’s program terms.
- Payment catch: Apple Card Monthly Installments and Apple Upgrade are not available in the military storefront, and ZEISS prescription inserts are excluded.
Apple doesn’t advertise its military pricing much on its main store, so “apple military discount” is a common search, especially in the run-up to Veterans Day on November 11. The program is real, it’s been around for years, and it works through a separate online storefront you unlock after an ID.me check.
This guide covers what Apple officially says about the program in November 2026: who qualifies, how verification works, the yearly purchase limits, what isn’t included, and the other Apple-run ways to save, such as Trade In, Certified Refurbished and education pricing, so you can pick the best option for a specific purchase.

Who qualifies for the Apple military discount?
According to Apple’s program page and terms, these groups can shop the Veterans and Military Purchase Program:
- Current members of the U.S. Military, National Guard and Reserve
- Veteran members of the U.S. Military, National Guard and Reserve
- Immediate family members who reside in the same household as an eligible member
The terms add that participants must be at least 18 years old and that the program is for personal use only. By placing an order, you certify that you’re eligible and that accepting the discount is allowed under any rules that apply to you, which is worth a quick check if you’re a government employee with gift or ethics restrictions.
Can I buy for a family member?
Apple’s terms let an eligible member “sponsor” an immediate family member, meaning you place the order for them. Sponsored orders still count toward the yearly limits, and Apple says no more than the eligible quantity can ship to the same person, no matter who sponsored the order.
How to verify and buy through the program
The discount isn’t a promo code. You get it by shopping inside Apple’s military storefront. Based on Apple’s pages, the process looks like this:
- Open the Veterans and Military Purchase Program page on apple.com. Apple’s terms say it’s linked from the U.S. Veterans and Military link in the apple.com footer.
- Start verification. Apple uses ID.me to confirm your active or Veteran status. If you already have an ID.me login from another site, you can use it; otherwise you can create one during the process.
- After you’re verified, shop inside the program storefront. Prices shown there reflect the program pricing.
- Check out online. Apple’s terms also mention ordering through an online kiosk at a U.S. Apple Store, and the Apple Store contact line is 1-800-MY-APPLE if you need help.
One important detail: Apple says purchases made at an Apple Store location or on the regular Apple Online Store aren’t eligible for the program’s discounted pricing. If you walk up to a register or buy on the normal apple.com store, you’ll pay standard prices.
Apple military discount purchase limits
Apple’s program terms set yearly limits that reset each calendar year (January 1 to December 31):
| Product category | Limit per calendar year |
|---|---|
| Computer systems | 3 |
| iPad | 3 |
| Unlocked iPhone | 3 |
| Select Apple Watch (excludes Hermès and Studio) | 3 |
| HomePod, Apple TV, AirPods | 3 each |
| Apple accessories (including Beats) | 10 |
| Apple Watch accessories | 10 (only 1 Apple Watch Hermès band) |
| AirTag | 10 single packs, 2 four-packs |
| Third-party accessories (excludes Microsoft, Bose, Adobe, HP) | 10 |
| Apple Certified Refurbished products | 10 |
| AppleCare+ / AppleCare plans | Up to 3 per product line, bought with a new device |
Note that the iPhone limit refers to unlocked iPhone. Apple’s terms also say products are offered while supplies last and that it can add or remove products at any time.
What the Apple military discount doesn’t cover
Apple’s pages list several exclusions and restrictions:
- ZEISS Optical Inserts (prescription): excluded from discount programs.
- Apple Watch Hermès and Apple Watch Studio: excluded from the Apple Watch category.
- Some third-party brands: Microsoft, Bose, Adobe and HP are excluded from the third-party accessories category.
- Brand-new products: Apple says not all newly announced products are immediately available at program pricing.
- Apple Card Monthly Installments and Apple Upgrade: not available as payment options in the military storefront.
- Resale: products are for personal use only. Apple may refuse or cancel orders it suspects are for resale, and the discount is nontransferable apart from sponsored family orders.
The terms we checked don’t say whether the program can be combined with other Apple offers, so we can’t confirm stacking either way. If it matters for a big purchase, ask Apple at 1-800-MY-APPLE before you order.
Is there an Apple Veterans Day discount in 2026?
As of November 5, 2026, the program page doesn’t show a separate Veterans Day promotion, and we didn’t find one on apple.com. Since the military storefront is available year-round, eligible shoppers don’t have to wait for November 11. If Apple announces something specific, we’ll update this page.
Other real ways to save at Apple (no code needed)
- Apple Trade In: trade eligible Apple devices and some third-party phones (Apple names Samsung and Google) for credit toward a new device or an Apple Gift Card. Value depends on model and condition. For online trade-ins, Apple must receive your old device within 14 days of you getting the new one. Devices with no trade-in value can be recycled for free.
- Apple Certified Refurbished: Apple says every refurbished product comes with a standard one-year limited warranty, free shipping and returns, and that refurbished iOS devices get a new battery and outer shell. Refurbished products also appear in the military program limits (10 per year).
- Apple Card Monthly Installments: 0% APR on eligible products bought on the regular Apple store, with 3% Daily Cash on Apple purchases, according to Apple’s financing page. Remember this isn’t available in the military storefront, so you’d pay standard prices to use it.
- Carrier financing: Apple’s financing page lists 0% APR iPhone financing over 36 months through AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon.
- Education pricing: if someone in your household is a college student (current or newly accepted), a parent buying for one, faculty, staff or a homeschool teacher, Apple’s Education Store may be another option. See our Apple student discount guide.
Tips to get the most from the Apple military discount
- Compare the storefront price with education pricing. Apple doesn’t promise the same percentage on every product, so if your household qualifies for both programs, check the exact price in each before you buy.
- Decide how you’ll pay first. If you want 0% Apple Card Monthly Installments, you have to buy at standard prices. Do the math: paying in full at program pricing may cost less overall.
- Buy unlocked iPhones through the program. The yearly limit is written for unlocked iPhone, so carrier deals are a separate comparison.
- Add AppleCare with the device. Apple’s terms say AppleCare plans must be bought with a new device to get program pricing.
- Track your yearly limits. Sponsored family orders count too, and the counts reset on January 1.
- Verify before a big purchase. Finish the ID.me step at home so you’re not stuck waiting during a launch or holiday rush.
