McAlister’s Deli used to be known for its “talk to us” survey coupon, and many guests still check their receipts for it. The receipt survey isn’t the only way to save, though. The free McAlister’s Rewards program now gives the most reliable perks. Below we explain how the survey works, what we could and couldn’t verify, and the real ways to pay less at McAlister’s this month.

The McAlister’s survey: what we know
Some McAlister’s receipts invite you to rate your visit. Survey guides consistently list the address as TalkToMcAlisters.com. You enter the survey code printed on your receipt and answer questions about your visit, such as food quality, speed, and staff friendliness.
Copycat guides say the reward is $2 off any entrée on your next visit. However, the same guides contradict each other on other details. One gives 7 days to take the survey and 30 days to use the coupon, while another says 14 days and 60 days. McAlister’s main website doesn’t publish survey rules, and we couldn’t open the survey site to confirm any of them. Treat these numbers as unconfirmed. The offer, deadline, and expiration date printed on your receipt are what count.
Don’t use look-alike sites with extra words or odd endings in the address (for example “.xyz” versions). They aren’t run by McAlister’s. Type the address exactly as it appears on your receipt.
How to take the McAlister’s survey
- Keep your receipt. Look for the survey invitation and code, usually near the bottom or middle of the receipt.
- Go to the survey site printed on the receipt (TalkToMcAlisters.com, according to survey guides) on your phone or computer.
- Enter the survey code and any visit details it asks for, such as date, time, or restaurant number.
- Answer the questions honestly. It usually takes a few minutes.
- Write down your validation code or save the offer at the end, then write it on your receipt.
- Bring the receipt on your next visit and redeem the offer before the date shown on it.
Survey rules to keep in mind
- Usually one survey per receipt, and the offer is good for one future visit.
- Survey offers generally can’t be combined with other discounts or exchanged for cash.
- Survey windows and coupon expiration dates are printed on the receipt. Older guides disagree, so don’t rely on them.
- Participating restaurants can set their own terms, so the same offer may not apply at every location.
- If your receipt doesn’t show a survey invitation, you can still send feedback through the Contact Us page on mcalistersdeli.com, which McAlister’s points guests to. That route doesn’t come with a coupon.
McAlister’s Rewards: the easiest way to save
McAlister’s official Rewards page says members earn points on every purchase and can redeem them for free food. New members get a free tea just for signing up, and members get a birthday treat. Exclusive offers are delivered through the McAlister’s app. On the App Store, the app says you can “earn points with every purchase” and “redeem rewards with the click of a button, including exclusive deals.” You can also order ahead for pickup.
The official page doesn’t list point values or reward tiers. Check the Rewards section of the app for current amounts rather than trusting older blog posts. According to deal sites, the sign-up tea coupon is valid for 30 days. McAlister’s has also offered limited promotions to members. In August 2026, for example, it ran a “Tea Pass” with one free tea per day for 30 days through a partner sign-up page, limited to one per member and not valid with third-party delivery. Promotions like that come and go, so look in your app for whatever is live.
More ways to save at McAlister’s
- Join Rewards before you order. Points only count on purchases linked to your account, and you get the free tea right away.
- Add your birthday to your profile so you don’t miss the birthday treat.
- Check the app before every order. Member-only deals show up there first.
- Refer friends. Deal sites report that a friend who joins with your referral code and makes a first purchase gets a free tea. Check the app for any bonus you get.
- Order directly, not through delivery apps. Many McAlister’s offers exclude third-party delivery, and online and in-app orders can carry a service fee.
- Watch for gift card promotions. McAlister’s has run bonus offers in the past, such as a reward for buying a gift card. Check the official Gift Cards page before you buy one.
