Last updated: October 20, 2026 · We checked DroneMobile’s official Promotions & Discounts page, Plans & Subscriptions page, How to Buy page, How It Works page, the June 2025 price update notice and the X2, X2MAX and Drone XT product pages on dronemobile.com on October 20, 2026. Prices are DroneMobile’s published U.S. prices and can change at any time.
- Is there a DroneMobile promo code right now? No public one. The only public code on DroneMobile’s Promotions & Discounts page, FALL2026, was for a Fall Sale that ran September 2 to 10, 2026, so it has ended. The “15% off” and “5% off” boxes that used to be on this page were never verified, and you shouldn’t count on them.
- Free trial: every new DroneMobile system comes with a free 30-day Premium trial that starts when you register the device.
- Cheapest way to pay: pay for a year or more up front. Premium is $11.99/month month to month and $9.99/month billed annually ($119.88 a year).
- Standing discounts: 10% off for medical workers, first responders and active or retired military (you request a unique code through the Help Center), and 10% off for 10 or more vehicles on Premium, Premium Plus and Ultimate.
- Hardware: you buy a DroneMobile module (for example the X2 at $99.99 MSRP) through an authorized dealer, and installation costs extra. DroneMobile doesn’t publish installation prices.
DroneMobile is a smartphone app plus an LTE module that lets you remote start, lock, unlock and track your car from your phone. You pay twice: once for the hardware (usually installed by a dealer) and then for a subscription, because the module “utilizes LTE which requires a data plan,” as DroneMobile puts it. Coupon codes only ever apply to that subscription.
This page used to list a “15% off” code and an installation price range of $249 to $399. Neither could be confirmed on DroneMobile’s official site, so we’ve removed them. Below is what DroneMobile actually publishes today: the plans and prices, the promotions that exist, and the honest ways to pay less.

*5-year terms are only available during the free trial or special promotions. Source: dronemobile.com/subscriptions, checked October 20, 2026. The 3-year and 5-year prices match DroneMobile’s June 1, 2025 price update notice.
What each plan includes, in short:
- Basic: vehicle control and security alerts: remote start, lock/unlock, trunk release, panic, status (engine, locks, doors, battery voltage, inside temperature) and shock, glass break, tilt and towing alerts where the hardware supports them. No GPS tracking.
- Premium: everything in Basic plus GPS tracking, car finder, speed and curfew monitoring, maintenance reminders, diagnostic trouble codes, fuel level, tire pressure and odometer where supported, up to 4 geofences and 10 points of interest.
- Premium Plus: adds unlimited geofences and POIs, 1-minute breadcrumbing, turn-by-turn updates and idling alerts. For the Drone XC dash cam it includes 25 GB of cloud storage and 1 GB of live streaming.
- Ultimate: adds 30-second breadcrumbing and location-based alerts, with 25 GB of cloud storage and 3 GB of streaming for the dash cam.
The standalone Drone XT magnetic GPS tracker uses its own plans. Its product page lists Tracking at $9.99/month and Tracking Plus at $17.99/month, both billed annually, though the same page’s headline says plans start at $11.99/month, so check the price at checkout.
How to get the lowest DroneMobile price
With no public code running, these are the savings DroneMobile itself publishes. In order of how much they usually matter:
- Use the full 30-day Premium trial first. DroneMobile says all new users get “a free 30-day premium subscription trial.” Use it to see whether you actually need GPS tracking before you pay for it. If you only want remote start and lock/unlock from your phone, Basic may be enough.
- Pick the plan, then pay yearly. Paying month to month costs more over a year. Based on DroneMobile’s listed prices, 12 monthly payments come to $71.88 for Basic versus $59.88 prepaid, and $143.88 for Premium versus $119.88 prepaid. That’s $12 and $24 saved a year.
- Consider a 3-year or 5-year term if you’re keeping the car. Premium drops to $8.99/month on a 3-year term and $7.99/month on a 5-year term. DroneMobile only offers 5-year terms during the free trial or special promotions, so decide before your trial ends.
- Ask for the 10% service discount if you qualify. Medical workers, first responders and active or retired military personnel can submit a form through the DroneMobile Help Center with identification and their DroneMobile username. DroneMobile then emails a unique coupon code.
- Put 10+ vehicles on one account for 10% off. The multi-vehicle discount needs at least 10 vehicles on an active Premium, Premium Plus or Ultimate plan, so it suits small fleets more than families.
- Watch for seasonal sales. DroneMobile has run short sales with a public code, like FALL2026 in September 2026. New codes appear on the official Promotions & Discounts page, not on coupon sites.
How to apply a DroneMobile promo code
Codes are entered on DroneMobile’s account site, not in the dealer’s shop. According to the Promotions & Discounts page:
- Go to accounts.dronemobile.com/subscriptions and sign in.
- “Select your vehicle and manually update the term or plan.”
- Enter the promo code at checkout.
If a code is rejected, check that the sale dates haven’t passed and that the code applies to the plan and term you picked. DroneMobile’s page doesn’t publish detailed terms for its codes.
Hardware and installation: what you pay before the subscription
The subscription is only half the cost. You also need a DroneMobile module, and most need professional installation. DroneMobile’s How to Buy page says to use its dealer locator to “find an installer near you” and that systems are sold at “over 2,000 retail locations across the United States and Canada.”
- Drone X2 (LTE + GPS): $99.99 MSRP. Adds smartphone control and GPS tracking to a compatible remote start or security system, or works alone as a GPS tracker. Works in most of North America with LTE coverage, including the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
- Drone X2MAX (LTE + GPS + Security, U.S. only): shown at $149.99 on the DroneMobile homepage and $169.99 MSRP on its product page. Adds a built-in backup battery.
- Drone XT magnetic GPS tracker: $149.99 MSRP. “No wiring or installation required,” with a rechargeable battery. The product page links to Best Buy for online purchase.
- Drone XC2 LTE dash cam: $379.99 on the DroneMobile homepage.
- Older modules: the X1, X1MAX and X1R are now on DroneMobile’s discontinued hardware list. If you are shopping for a “Drone X1” today, ask the dealer about the X2 or X2MAX instead.
Module prices don’t include installation. DroneMobile notes the price “does not include additional parts and/or labor required for installation” and, for the X2, “does not include bypass module.” DroneMobile doesn’t publish installation prices; the dealer quotes them. For remote start you also need a compatible remote start or security system. DroneMobile names Compustar, Arctic Start, FTX, NuStart and iDataStart. The dealer can usually quote hardware, remote starter and labor together, which is the simplest way to compare total prices between installers.
Who runs DroneMobile? The site’s copyright line reads “Firstech, LLC,” dealer activation runs through myfirstech.com, and the X2 product pages list a “Firstech remote starter or alarm” as an option. Compatibility depends on your vehicle and hardware, so use the year/make/model tool on dronemobile.com or the VIN check on the product page before you buy.
