Grifols Plasma Referral Program (2026): How the $100 Refer-a-Friend Bonus Works

Last updated: October 2026 · Every amount and rule below comes from Grifols Plasma’s official Refer a Friend page, donor FAQs, local center pages and the DonorHub app listing, all sources checked on October 22, 2026. Programs can change, so confirm in DonorHub or with your center before you count on a bonus.
- Referral bonus: Grifols Plasma pays a $100 bonus for every new donor you refer who completes two successful donations. The FAQ calls $100 the standard amount “unless otherwise communicated by Grifols Plasma.”
- How it’s recorded: your friend creates a DonorHub account and enters your referral code before their first donation. A code added after that first donation counts as late and earns nothing.
- When you’re paid: after your friend’s second donation, the $100 comes with your own next donation.
- Deadline: a referral can expire if your friend doesn’t finish two donations within 180 days of registering in DonorHub.
- Limit: Grifols says there’s no limit on how many friends you can refer, and they can donate at any Grifols Plasma center in the US.
If you donate at a Grifols center, including locations run under the Biomat USA and Talecris Plasma Resources names, Refer a Friend is one of the simplest ways to add to your regular pay. We read the official referral page, both donor FAQs and two local center pages to explain how the $100 bonus works, how the code gets recorded and why some referrals never pay.
Grifols Plasma referral bonus at a glance
The program is active in 2026. The headline on Grifols’ referral page reads “Refer Friends. Earn $100. Repeat.” Here’s how the bonus works from start to finish:
| Detail | What Grifols says |
|---|---|
| Bonus per referral | $100 (standard amount, unless Grifols communicates otherwise) |
| What your friend must do | Register in DonorHub, enter your code before the first donation, complete two successful donations |
| When you’re paid | After your friend’s second donation, on your next donation |
| Expiration | The referral may expire if two donations aren’t completed within 180 days of registering |
| Number of referrals | No limit |
| Where your friend can donate | Any Grifols Plasma center in the US |

Does the amount vary by center? Grifols presents $100 as the national standard, and both local center pages we checked (Grifols Biomat USA in Orem, UT and Grifols in Cape Girardeau, MO) list a “Refer A Friend Bonus $100.” The fine print on those pages adds that compensation amounts are “subject to change,” and the FAQ leaves room for different amounts “otherwise communicated” by Grifols. If your center is advertising a different figure, go with what DonorHub or your center tells you.
How Grifols Refer a Friend works, step by step
- Make sure you qualify. You need to be a current Grifols Plasma donor in good standing, at least 18, with an active DonorHub account and a valid Donor ID.
- Find your referral code in DonorHub. The app and web portal both have a Refer a Friend section, which is where your code and your referral dashboard live.
- Share it with someone new to Grifols. Your friend must not already be a Grifols donor, must be at least 18 and must meet the normal donor eligibility rules.
- Your friend registers in DonorHub and enters your code. This has to happen when they register and before their first donation.
- Your friend completes two successful donations. A visit where they’re deferred at screening doesn’t count.
- You make your next donation. That’s when Grifols issues your $100 bonus.
Forgot the code? Grifols says that if your friend mentions the referral at their first appointment, center staff can add it, and staff can even look up your code if your friend knows your name. After that first donation, though, it’s too late.

What your friend gets
The $100 referral bonus goes to you, the person who referred. Grifols’ referral page doesn’t mention a separate referral bonus for the new donor. Your friend gets Grifols’ new donor compensation instead, which is set by location. The two center pages we checked both said “Earn up to $800 in your first month,” based on the first 8 donations completed within 30 days. Other centers may advertise different figures, so your friend should check the page for their own center.
| You (referrer) | Your friend (new donor) | |
|---|---|---|
| Main reward | $100 per qualified referral | New donor pay; up to $800 in the first month at the two centers we checked |
| Requirement | Donor in good standing with an active DonorHub account | New to Grifols, 18+, eligible, enters your code before the first donation |
| Timing | Paid on your next donation after your friend’s second | Two donations within 180 days for the referral; new donor pay at those centers is based on donations within 30 days |
From Grifols Plasma’s Refer a Friend page and the Orem, UT and Cape Girardeau, MO center pages, checked October 22, 2026.
Eligibility basics for your friend: Grifols’ first-donation FAQ says donors must be between 18 and 69 years old, weigh at least 110 lbs (50 kg), and bring a valid photo ID, proof of residence and their Social Security number (a Border Crossing Card can be used instead of the SSN). The first visit can take two to two and a half hours. Final eligibility is always decided at the center’s screening.
How you’ll receive the $100
Grifols pays donors on a prepaid debit card, the Grifols Plasma Pay Card powered by Chase. The FAQ says compensation “is loaded at the completion of the donation.” Since the referral bonus is issued with your next donation, look for it on your card after that visit. Your Refer a Friend dashboard in DonorHub shows each referral’s status, your friend’s donations and your bonuses.
A couple of card details from the FAQ worth knowing: the card has to be activated before you can use it, in-network ATM withdrawals cost $1.00, and balances can’t be moved from an old card to a new one.

Common reasons a Grifols referral doesn’t pay
- The code was entered too late. If it wasn’t applied at registration and before the first donation, Grifols treats the referral as late, and late referrals aren’t eligible.
- Your friend only donated once. The bonus requires two successful donations.
- You haven’t donated since. The $100 is issued on your next donation after your friend qualifies, so it won’t appear until you go back in.
- The 180 days ran out. If your friend registered and then stopped, the referral may expire.
- Someone else’s code was used. If two donors refer the same person, the new donor chooses one code, and only that referrer earns the bonus.
- Your friend isn’t new to Grifols. Existing Grifols donors don’t qualify as referred friends.
Tips to get the most from referrals
- Send your code before your friend registers. Ask them to paste it into DonorHub during sign-up, not after the first visit.
- Go together. Grifols says you can schedule at the same time and ask to sit together, which also lets you remind staff about the referral at check-in.
- Book your next visit after their second donation. That’s the donation that triggers your $100.
- Plan around the frequency rule. FDA rules allow two donations a week with two days in between, so your friend can’t do both qualifying visits on back-to-back days.
- Check your dashboard first. The DonorHub Refer a Friend dashboard is the quickest way to see where each referral stands before you contact DonorCare.
- Watch for extra promos. Grifols has run add-ons such as a 2025 Refer a Friend raffle on top of the $100 bonus. Those are time-limited, so only count on them if DonorHub or your center announces one.

Frequently asked questions
How much is the Grifols plasma referral bonus?
$100 per new donor you refer. Grifols calls this the standard amount unless it communicates otherwise, and it’s paid once your friend completes two successful donations.
Where do I find my Grifols referral code?
In DonorHub, the Grifols donor app and web portal. Your code and your Refer a Friend dashboard are in the referral section.
When do I get my Grifols referral money?
After your friend completes their second donation, the $100 is issued with your own next donation, loaded to your Grifols prepaid card.
Can I add a Grifols referral code after the first donation?
No. The code must be applied at registration and before the first donation. Staff can add it at the first appointment if your friend mentions you, but a referral added later is considered late and isn’t paid.
Is there a limit to how many friends I can refer to Grifols?
No. Grifols says there’s no limit, and each friend can donate at any Grifols Plasma center in the US, including Biomat USA and Talecris locations.
